IMC O50s World Cup 2020 – South Africa
The trip to South Africa for the 2020 Over-50s Cricket World Cup was a landmark moment in the history of West Indies Masters Cricket. It represented the arrival of the West Indies in global Masters competition and showed that former players from the Caribbean could still compete with pride, passion, and quality on the international stage.
Although the tournament was disrupted by COVID-19, the experience itself was historic. The players had earned the right to represent the region, and their participation helped place West Indies Masters Cricket on the world map. Relationships were built, memories were created, and a foundation was established for future teams, future tournaments, and a broader movement that would continue to grow.

Organizers worked tirelessly behind the scenes, coordinating travel, securing sponsorships, and arranging competitive fixtures. Supporters from across the Caribbean diaspora rallied behind the team, offering encouragement and financial backing. Their collective endeavor rekindled old friendships, built new rivalries, and laid a solid foundation for the future of West Indies veteran cricket.
