IMC O50s World Cup 2025 – Sri Lanka
The 2025 Over‑50s World Cup was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from February 9–23 and featured 14 teams. West Indies were drawn in Group B alongside Australia, Pakistan, India, Wales, South Africa, and Canada. The campaign began on a positive note with an 18‑run victory over South Africa, but West Indies then suffered three consecutive defeats. They rebounded in the Super League stage with a convincing 10‑wicket win over Zimbabwe before closing the tournament with a 59‑run loss to South Africa in the ninth‑place playoff.
Despite the mixed results, there were several notable individual performances. Anthony Sahadeo was West Indies’ leading run‑scorer, amassing 219 runs at an average of 43.80, including a magnificent century of 101. Zamin Amin topped the bowling charts for West Indies, claiming 13 wickets at an average of 23.23 and an economy rate of 4.95.
